For today’s post, I actually contemplated if I should write about Marisa Miller, Adriana Karembeu or Colombian lingerie designer Ines Vanegas.

In the end I decided on Marisa Miller because it has been ages since I wrote about a hot lingerie model and Marisa Miller is number one on Maxim’s Hot 100 this year so there’s no denying her popularity. By the way, she is at number nine on Ask Men’s 2008 list of 99 hot female celebrities.

While Marisa Miller does not have the most striking of facial features, she does have a body to die for, yet she thinks that it is the most shameful thing on yet. Then why continue to flaunt it? Haha!

Marisa Miller is more popular as a swimsuit or bikini model thanks to her incessant appearance on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. However, in line with the theme of my blog, I am more interested to see Marisa Miller in lingerie and there’s no shortage of shots of her in lingerie thanks to her work with Victoria’s Secret.

As if Marisa Miller is not hot enough, this shot of her wearing ONLY an Apple iPod made her a hit among men. I have to admit, her looks shone through in this shot!

Today, I thought I would write about a lingerie model so after pondering on whom to feature, I thought that for a change, I would write about a model who is not currently with Victoria’s Secret. And Petra Nemcova pops into mind. If you read my other blogs, you will notice that I am quite a fan of La Senza. Well, Petra Nemcova was named the face and body of La Senza in October, 2007, replacing Gemma Atkinson.

I would like to say that Petra is one very beautiful woman. Of course, some photos do not do her justice but just look deeply into her eyes and you can see her beauty shine through.

One thing that amazes me is that Petra was a victim of the 2004 tsunami which struck South East Asia. Coming from Malaysia, I do know how devastated the whole area was because of the tsunami and how many people lost their lives or their loved ones because of the freaking weather.

Petra was in Thailand with her boyfriend and photographer, Simon Atlee, when disaster struck. Petra survived the ordeal, hanging on to a palm tree for eight long hours. Her boyfriend, Simon Atlee was drowned and his body was only found two months later.

While some people think that this ordeal should not have propelled her to super model status, I think that with or without this episode, Petra Nemcova would be a world renown model. This just made her stronger. And because of this, Petra has started a children’s charitable fund.
